There’s more than one way to dress up your dinner table. Color coordinate your forks and knives with the table setting.
Mismatched flatware is available at Goodwill for $.10 a piece!
Photo 1: You can transform utensils two ways. Spray paint is the easiest and fastest, but color choices are limited. Since it wasn’t warm enough this week to spray paint outside, I decided to “dip” my pieces. Although you can have any color custom mixed, this process takes a lot longer for the paint to dry. You will want to use high-gloss sheen.
Photo 2: Dunk the handles into a quart of paint. Hold the eating end until the paint stops dripping. The easiest way to allow forks to dry (without sticking to wax paper) is to insert them into the bottom of a plastic cup.
Photo 3: This process works with wooden spoons too. These would be cute added to a salad bowl for a bridal shower gift.
Photo 4: Be sure to hand wash only. Latex paint won’t hold up to dishwasher use.
Photo 5: If you have a lot of time on your hands, dip the ends of decorative cocktail tooth picks into matching paint!
